Delivering Value Through Strategic Partnerships
Jodi Knode, Director, Physician Concierge Services, UMass Memorial Health
UMass Memorial Health has successfully developed a strategic priority to address chronic disease management. The health system identified the need to provide additional services in the community and has opened a new multi-disciplinary clinic at a community hospital. The physician liaison team has delivered significant value to the organization over the past several years which has allowed them the opportunity to partner with senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives including the multi-disciplinary clinic. During this session we will share our relationship building techniques, our service line prioritization work and the impact that this new clinic is offering to patients and the healthcare system. This talk will also focus on how the liaisons have been able to develop and foster strategic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, earning them a seat at the leadership table while continuing to deliver value to the system, community physicians and the patients they serve.
Manager/Director - Building a High Powered National Physician Relations Team
Angela Valchine, SVP of Physician Relations, Happier Living

Attendees will learn the pros and cons of both models as well as the key components of successfully building a national PRM infrastructure while ensuring the C-suite is fully committed to the investment. Angela has 20 years of healthcare experience that includes big Pharma, non-profit as well as having held positions in local, national and global physician relations. Angela is currently the SVP of Physician Relations with Happier Living, a national provider of behavioral health services with a network that spans 30 states.
