This implementation represented the largest activation of EpicCare Link by an Epic client to-date and served as a catalyst to expand connectivity to reach to community/independent providers.

Reducing Referral Leakage with Analytics

Reducing referral leakage presents opportunities for growth and improved patient care, but can be a difficult problem to tackle due to the complexities around data and the sensitivities around provider referral preferences. Using data from internal systems as well as third-party claims, Intermountain and partner SymphonyRM have developed a process for addressing leakage that targets effort where it is most needed and uses performance data to measure accomplishment.
