ASCP has partnered with AAPL to provide their membership with the ASCP Leadership Institute (LI) Certificate program which offers a series of online leadership courses facilitated by organizational and leadership experts from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Through the courses, participants gain insight into their current approaches on leadership topics, such as emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, time management, communication principles and stress management. The course work is focused on helping participants identify areas of growth and use the knowledge gained to develop advanced leadership skills.
Upon completion of each course, a course transcript can be downloaded.
Every LI course is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide CME credit. CMLE credit can also be earned through completing these courses for those utilizing ASCP’s Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) to maintain their ASCP certification.

Each certificate course is offered exclusively to AAPL members at a discounted price of $299 each. You must be an active, dues-paying member of AAPL to be eligible for the Leadership Institution course offerings.
The AAPL is proud to bring these self-learning professional development opportunities to our physician liaisons and their departmental directors. Both tracks are self-paced and designed so that all nine modules can be completed within a 12-month period. A Certificate of Completion is awarded at the end of each course.
