2019 Call for Presenters Hello, fellow American Association of Physician Liaison (AAPL) colleagues! It's that time of year again; we are now accepting presentation proposals for our 2019 AAPL Annual Conference which will take place June 26-28, 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Each year, the AAPL invites Physician Liaisons from across the country to share their best practices, insights, and work experiences. Whether you've been in your position for years, lead a team, and/or are new to the Physician Liaison world, we want to hear from you! Please take a moment to review the AAPL conference goals and what we are looking for in a speaker to help you prepare your proposal. Conference Goals Conference topics and networking opportunities are a direct result of feedback from you, our AAPL colleagues. Our membership is our strongest resource and asset. We lean on each of you to help us deliver a robust annual conference, full of relevant and meaningful topics. Whether you are a new Physician Liaison, a seasoned Physician Liaison and/or a Program Manager/Director, sharing your perspective and experience is what makes this annual conference one of the most anticipated conferences in the Physician Liaison industry. Our goal is to provide you with the opportunity to connect and learn from one another. You will have the chance to compare notes on industry trends, best practices, future insights into the Physician Liaison career path, and all things needed to be successful while making an immediate impact when you return back to your organization. What We Are Looking For in a Speaker Mix of Content and Perspectives
We welcome first time liaisons, industry experts, and everyone in between. Combined, we have a tremendous amount of healthcare, management, and business development experience. We value everyone's unique employment path that brought you into the Physician Liaison field. We especially welcome talks that showcase best practices in the four areas of interest: 1) Academic Institutions, 2) Community Hospitals, 3) Children's Hospitals, and 4) Independent Medical Groups. Audience Considerations When shaping your proposal, please clearly define your audience. If you are submitting a proposal for a plenary talk, please take into account the mix of levels of expertise, skill sets, and variety of institutions. Your talk should be relevant to most, if not all, attendees.
